Who We Are

“A chance encounter that brought together two complete strangers and changed our lives” is probably the best summary of how Devotion Home Health Care was started. In February 2015, our founder, Maria Hutto, met a sweet lady in her 90s named Ina with no friends or family, living alone in a home with no running water. Foreclosure on her home was weeks away. Her situation was dire. Meeting Ina in her time of need, becoming her friend and Power of Attorney, and navigating the often-complicated world of senior care was the inspiration for starting this home health agency.

Devotion Home Health Care is certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC). We are licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services.

Home Health Medicare Rights and Benefits

  • Your Condition Requires Medical Care – Your condition must require medical care, such as skilled nursing, physical, occupational, or speech therapy.
  • You are Homebound – Being homebound means that it is a considerable and taxing effort for you to leave your home. You may go to medical appointments, church/worship services, family gatherings, and other infrequent events and still be considered homebound.
  • You are Eligible for Medicare Benefits – Are you 65 or older?
  • A Physician Has Ordered Specific Home Health Care Services for You – All home health care services must be approved by a medical doctor or other qualified provider.
  • You Do Not Need Long-Term Home Health Care – Home health care is provided on an intermittent basis, with the exception of diabetes management, monthly injections, and catheter care, which can be ongoing.
